Dublin's Lord Mayor believes the housing crisis is impacting on the future development of the city.

Michael Mac Donncha says a sustainable housing market is key to the growth of the capital.

He is calling for more affordable houses to be built.

Mayor Mac Donncha said: "More industry or economic activity that we could have in the city has been inhibited by the fact that housing is such a major problem."
