Emergency services are tonight searching the seas off West Cork for a vessel carrying three
people missing for a number of hours.
The rescue operation was launched at around 9pm to search for the sailing boat which had left Long Island near Schull at 3pm to travel to Rossbrin a short distance away and which was expected to be back at Long Island by 7pm.
The 3 people who were on the missing 21ft sailing yacht are believed to be British, holidaying in the area. Anyone in #Schull seen them?

The boat, carrying two men and a woman, is still missing.
Searches were being carried out by a number of lifeboat crews including two from Baltimore, as well as land searches and from the air by the coastguard helicopter.
Separately, at about 10pm the coastguard issued another alert for a punt missing off the Skeam Islands with five young people onboard.
Good news: @rnlibaltimore say the missing punt and its occupants have been found safe and well. Search ongoing for second vessel #sar #Cork
