A 49-year-old man, who was arrested in connection with a €4m investment fraud in Co Leitrim, has been released without charge.

A 49-year-old man, who was arrested in connection with a €4m investment fraud in Co Leitrim, has been released without charge.

The man was detained following the search of a house yesterday morning.

It was part of an ongoing investigation by the Fraud Squad and the Criminal Assets Bureau into investment fraud and money laundering.

The man was released without charge last night and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
