Latest: Suspect device in Dublin pub was a hoax

Update 6pm: A suspect package found at a pub in Dublin this afternoon was a hoax.

Gardaí sealed off Drimnagh Road after being called to the scene near Walkinstown earlier.

Diversions have now been lifted, and Dublin Bus routes are back running as normal.

Diversions are still in place near Walkinstown in Dublin after a suspect device was found at a pub.

It's understood to be a pipe bomb, and was discovered in a building on Drimnagh Road this afternoon.

Dublin Bus is diverting local services, and drivers are being told to take a different route.

A suspect device has been found at a pub in Walkinstown.

Gardaí are at the scene and Drimnagh Road is closed in both directions.

It is believed a pipe bomb was found this afternoon.

Inbound traffic is being advised to divert to Walkinstown Road, while outbound drivers are being told to divert to Errigal Road.
