Fianna Fáil has been defeated in its latest attempt to have the Attorney General called before the Seanad.
Senators have been trying to have Máire Whelan called in to explain her handling of the Garda Tapes affair.
The motion was easily defeated by the Government parties, but Fianna Fáíl says it will call a vote on the issue every day until Ms Whelan explains her delay in informing the Government.
