Labour cllr 'disillusioned' with party conduct resigns
The Labour party is set to lose another Councillor.
The Cathaoirleach of Athy Town Council in Co. Kildare has formally tendered his resignation from the party.
Cllr. Thomas Redmond's departure became official at 8pm last night
He said that his reasons are solely political, and that he has become "quite disillusioned " with how the party is comporting itself in government.
It is understood that Labour can expect further resignations at councillor level in Kildare
