A man in his 40s who was being questioned by gardaí in connection with the murder of a mother and her young daughter in Co Kerry has been released without charge.
Jolanta Lubiene, 27, and her 8-year-old daughter Enrika were discovered dead at their home on the Langford Downs estate just outside Killorglin on Sunday june 16.
Gardaí released the man last night and confirmed that a file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Ms Lubiene, originally from Lithuania, was last seen at around 1.50pm on Saturday June 15 in Langford Street, walking towards her semi-detached home.
Meanwhile a fund set up to help repatriate the bodies of Ms Lubiene and her daughter has raised thousands of euro.
Locals have described the public's generosity as marvellous and say the fund will not only cover repatriation expenses but there will also be money left over for the family.
