Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny has said it appears the Government is planning to ignore the recommendations of the Bord Snip Nua report.

Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny has said it appears the Government is planning to ignore the recommendations of the Bord Snip Nua report.

Speaking in the Dáil earlier today, Tánaiste Mary Coughlan said some of the proposals from the group "don't make sense", but the Government had to make savings to fix the black hole in the public finances.

Mr Kenny says her comments indicate that the Government is now dumping the report in the same way as the Commission on Taxation report.
