A 25-year-old Dublin woman is to be sentenced at the Central Criminal Court for killing a taxi driver who she crushed to death with her car.

Claire Nolan of Sheephill Green in Blanchardstown pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of 66-year-old Michael Duffy at Wellview Grove, Blanchardstown on January 26, 2008.

She was tried twice for the murder, but on both occasions the jury was unable to agree on a verdict.

The mother-of-one's subsequent plea of manslaughter was accepted by the DPP.
