Friends and family of Jill Meagher have spoken of her unique personality and her passion for life in a moving funeral ceremony in Melbourne.
Jill's father, mother, brother, husband and two friends spoke to hundreds of people, who gathered for her funeral at Fawkner Memorial Park for the hour-long ceremony.
It ended with the release of 29 doves - one for each year of Jill's life and as a symbol of her free spirit.
A memorial Mass will also be held in St Peter's Church in Drogheda, Co Louth this evening at 7pm.
Adrian Ernest Bayley (aged 41) has been charged with the rape and murder of Jill Meagher and is due back in court in January.
