Irish Water warns of online scam

Irish Water has warned that members of the public are being targeted by an online scam.

They say two fake emails are being sent around with the aim of collecting bank details.

The company is reminding people that it will never ask for financial information in an email.

The company said that it wishes to reassure customers that there has been no breach of its systems.

Anyone who suspects they have been targeted should contact the Garda Fraud Bureau and change their Irish Water passwords immediately.
