Some of the Irish students who witnessed the Berkeley balcony collapse are suing the owner, builder and manager of the building for emotional distress.
The latest action is being brought by a number of students who were not hurt in the incident - which killed six students and injured 7 others.
The Irish Times reports the first hearings on all of the cases relating to the tragedy will take place in Oakland on Monday.
The Berkeley families and survivors have filed 13 lawsuits seeking compensatory and punitive damages.
The case is said to likely be subjected to “complex insurance coverage claims and dispute”.
