Irish activists held overnight in Israel will face an immigration hearing later today.

Irish activists held overnight in Israel will face an immigration hearing later today.

The group, including Socialist MEP Paul Murphy, was detained after trying to breach a blockade of Gaza as part of the Freedom Waves flotilla, aboard the MV Saoirse.

The Department of Foreign Affairs said that the activists could be deported in the coming days.
