We could experience a mini heat wave this weekend.
Met Éireann says it Is too early to confirm exact conditions but temperatures could reach 19 or 20 degrees.
It will be warmer than average for the rest of the week with the weather warming up from tomorrow.
Meteorologist Deirdre Lowe says temperatures could be set to rise.
She said: "Warmer airs coming up possibly over the weekend but we are not 100% sure about that yet.
"We may have a southeasterly airflow over the weekend which could make temperatures a couple of degrees warmer again."
Temperatures could hit 20 degrees this weekend.
It is expected to start warming up to between 15 and 17 degrees tomorrow.
An African Air Plume and south-east breezes are affecting the air temperature, particularly in the west.
Met Éireann's Deirdre Lowe says it is going to be warmer than average for this time of year.
She said: "It is going to get warmer, we have a warm front moving up over the country.
"Tomorrow morning it will bring some rain and drizzle but it will brighten up in the afternoon and we will get temperatures up to between 15 and 18 degrees, though it may stay damp and drizzly along the west coast.
"Then Thursday and Friday temperatures similar, between 15 and 17 degrees with some light variable breezes."
