Investigation underway into Derry fire

Police in the North are investigating a fire at a block of flats.

Detectives say a number of homes were evacuated in the Derry area as a result.

Officers were called to Kular Court in the Little James Street area of the city at around 2am today.

It was reported outside bins were on fire, and the fire had spread to a nearby flat.

The PSNI says the building was evacuated and one flat’s been left with substantial damage however thankfully no-one was injured.
