An investigation has been launched into a crash between a Luas tram and a car in Dublin last night.

An investigation has been launched into a crash between a Luas tram and a car in Dublin last night.

No one is believed to have been seriously hurt in a crash at Shore Road in Inchicore.

11 ambulances were called to the scene at around 10pm yesterday and 12 people were taken to hospital.

A total of twelve people, ten males and two females - aged from late teens to their mid 30s - required medical treatment and they were taken to St James' Hospital and Tallaght Hospital with injuries described as non serious.

Gardaí have confirmed they are investigating the incident and are appealing for witnesses to the collision.
