Insurance companies urged to prioritise farmers affected by Storm Emma
Insurance companies are being urged to prioritise farmers who've been hit by Storm Emma after the Beast from the East ravaged the country last week.
The Minister for Agriculture Michael Creed says it is vital for the sector that farmers, many of whom suffered extensive damage to their properties, are not left waiting for compensation.

The cost of the up operation is expected to cost millions of Euro.
Minister Creed claims payments need to be made as soon as possible:
"We need a swift response, we need assessors on the ground, we need to allow farmers to get on with the business, and I would be urging the key players to work intensively in these areas in the coming days," he said.
