There are 437 patients waiting for hospital beds today.
Daily figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show that almost three quarters of these, 337, are on trolleys.
Hospitals with the worst overcrowding are St Vincent's in Dublin with 31, Beaumont Hospital with 30 and Cork University Hospital, also with 30.
The INMO said that St Vincent's were unable to provide them with a ward figure.
University Hospital Limerick has 29 patients waiting for beds while the Midlands Regional Hospitals in Mullingar and Tullamore both have 26 waiting.
