The IMPACT trade union has accepted an invitation to talks from Aer Lingus in the row over rosters.

IMPACT cabin crew are due to stage a 24 hour strike on Friday causing travel chaos ahead of the bank holiday weekend.

The union has written to the airline to say it is available for talks without preconditions.

IMPACT expects the work stoppage at Aer Lingus to go ahead on Friday.
