The President of the IMO Dr Matthew Sadlier has said plans for free GP care for Under 6s is 'political interference' which will harm doctors’ ability to treat patients.
Dr Sadlier’s speech to delegates on the opening day of the conference singled out the proposals as “unworkable”.
He is also targeted the Health Minister Dr James Reilly’s failure to publish guidelines for the Protection of Life During Pregnancy Act, a delay he described as 'a disgrace'.
