IFA take sugar row back to Brussels

The Irish Farmers' Association will head to Brussels next Monday in a protest against proposed EU reforms to the sugar industry.

The Irish Farmers' Association will head to Brussels next Monday in a protest against proposed EU reforms to the sugar industry.

The protest will coincide with the first meeting of the European Council of Agriculture Ministers.

Sugar Beet growers will meet the Minister for Agriculture Mary Coughlan at the event. IFA President John Dillon will lead the protest.
