HSE: 8% of one-year-old kids don't get 'appropriate' vaccinations

One in 12 Irish children have not received the "appropriate" vaccinations by the time they turn one.

New figures from the HSE say 8% of children have not received the recommended doses of the "six in one" vaccine when they turn 12 months old.

The figures also show that a tenth of children reach primary school age without having received the recommended 4-in-1 vaccine.

However, the HSE says the figures show Ireland now has its highest ever level of childhood vaccinations.
