The country's second youngest TD, Simon Harris, has been appointed as Junior Finance Minister, the position formerly held by Brian Hayes, in the Government's reshuffle.
The 27-year-old is a first-time TD for Wicklow and member of the Dáil’s Public Accounts Committee (PAC) who contested a European Parliament seat in Ireland South in Mays’ elections.

The party also got a junior ministry for Kevin Humphreys in the Department of Social Protection with Special Responsibility for Activation, while Sean Sherlock has been given a junior ministry in the Department of Foreign Affairs with Special Responsibility for ODA, Trade Promotion and North South cooperation.
Damien English has been given a junior ministry in Education, Tom Hayes is in the Department of Agriculture, Paudie Coffey has a job in the Department of the Environment and Jimmy Deenihan will take up a junior ministry in the Department of Foreign Affairs with special responsibility for the Diaspora.
