Threshold is today welcoming a proposal to introduce a two-year moratorium on family home repossessions by the banks covered under the Nama legislation.
It is now estimated that there are 35,000 mortgage holders in arrears in Ireland.
The Labour Party will move the private members motion calling for a two-year moratorium in the Dáil this evening.
Chairperson of Threshold Aideen Hayden says anything that will help those in financial bother is to be welcomed.
