A victim support group has called for an end to concurrent sentencing for homicide offences.

AdVic has said it wants consecutive sentencing for offenders to be introduced, which would mean offenders would serve their sentences one after another, instead of at the same time.

AdVic representative John Whelan, whose sister Sharon and nieces Zara and Nadia were murdered in 2008, said the law is "too lenient" on offenders and reform is "urgently needed".
