A live kitten, an engagement ring, cash and a working hearing aid are just some of the unusual items Greyhound Recycling have found in their recycling bins.

However, it seems our counterparts in Britain have even stranger recycling habits with an urn containing ashes, 10,000 unused out-of-date condoms and a motorbike engine making that list.

The data was compiled by Greyhound Recycling as part of its search for Dublin's Recycling Champion.
