Greencore: Test results from Bristol plant 'negative'

Greencore says all results for products tested for equine DNA at its facility in Bristol in Britain have come up negative.

The food group hass confirmed that it was told by Asda that tests carried out on the beef bolognese sauce supplied to the supermarket by Greencore had shown trace levels of horse DNA at 4.8%.

In a statement this morning, the company said all other Greencore and customer test results on products have been negative.

It also says a deep clean shutdown was carried out over the weekend at the Bristol facility where the Asda bolognese sauce was manufactured.
