Green Party candidate eliminated in Ireland South count

The Green Party's Grace O'Sullivan has become the latest candidate to be eliminated in the race for the final two seats in Ireland South.

The ninth count is now underway in Cork this morning, with O'Sullivan's votes being divided out amongst the remaining candidates.

Fine Gael's Sean Kelly remains on course to take the third seat but is not expected to reach the quota.

The battle for the fourth should get interesting this afternoon with Fianna Fáil's Kieran Hartley, Independent Diarmuid O' Flynn and the Fine Gael duo of Deirdre Clune and Simon Harris all still in contention for a place in Europe.
