Govt urged to sign UN protocol on children’s rights

The Children's Rights Alliance is calling on the Government to sign up to an optional UN protocol aimed at preventing child abuse.

The Children's Rights Alliance is calling on the Government to sign up to an optional UN protocol aimed at preventing child abuse.

The protocol on the rights of the child came into effect more than five years ago and has already been ratified by 124 states around the world.

The Children's Rights Alliance says child abuse happens across borders and needs an integrated international response.
