Advice for school authorities and parents on the prevention of swine flu has been published on a government website.

Advice for school authorities and parents on the prevention of swine flu has been published on a government website.

The guidance have been placed on the Department of Education's site, www.education.ie.

Tips for parents and teachers include being alert for flu-like symptoms, teaching children how to avoid spreading germs, and keeping sick children home from school.

The site will be linked to the HSE website to make updates readily available.
