Government opens book of condolence for Brian Lenihan

Books of condolence will open at Government Buildings and at the civic offices in Athlone today for the late Brian Lenihan.

Books of condolence will open at Government Buildings and at the civic offices in Athlone today for the late Brian Lenihan.

Mr Lenihan's remains will repose from 10am at Jennings Funeral Home in Blanchardstown, in Dublin this morning, before removal this evening to St. Mochta's Church in Porterstown.

Members of the public who wish to pay their respects following the death of Brian Lenihan can sign a book of condolence at Government buildings this morning.

It will be open from 9am until 6pm.

A book will also be open at Civic Offices in Athlone.

The former minister died at the age of 52 at his home in West Dublin on Friday.

The former Finance Minister will be laid in a private burial after after 11am mass tomorrow.
