'Garth Brooks is it for me, like," says one queuing, chilly fan as tickets go on sale

The wait is over for Garth Brooks fans - tickets for the much anticipated concerts went on sale today.

Hundreds of fans queued outside ticket outlets around the country, some since Saturday night and early Sunday morning.

The country star will play two shows in Croke Park in Dublin in July.

Some of the 300-plus people queuing outside Laois Shopping Centre in Portlaoise this morning told Midlands 103 they were starting to feel the cold.

So how did they keep out the chill?

"Three T-shirts, jumper, coat, hat, gloves, socks, slippers," listed one.

"Thermals, running gear, a really warm fleece and my jacket. I would never do it for anybody else. Garth Brooks is it for me, like," said another fan.
