It is reported an elite squad of gardaí is being put together up to tackle notorious gangland bosses across Dublin.

It is reported an elite squad of gardaí is being put together up to tackle notorious gangland bosses across Dublin.

According to the Herald, it will be based at Kevin Street, with a special focus on the growing number of violent drug rows in the south inner city.

The paper says the squad will include a sergeant and six detectives who will track well-known criminals, as well as younger ones who are trying to carve out a career for themselves.
