More than a quarter of a million euro, believed to be linked to crime, has been seized in Drogheda, Co Louth.

Gardaí seize over €250,000 and cocaine at Drogheda halting site

More than a quarter of a million euro, believed to be linked to crime, has been seized in Drogheda, Co Louth.

Officers investigating organised gangs found the cash at a halting site in the Mell area yesterday afternoon.

Cocaine believed to be worth €5,000 was also seized.

No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
