Gardaí have ruled out foul play in the death of a young woman who died in a fire at her family home in Co Cork early this morning.

Gardaí have ruled out foul play in the death of a young woman who died in a fire at her family home in Co Cork early this morning.

The 22-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene after she was removed by firefighters from her home on the New Cork Road in Midleton.

Six members of her family were rescued from the blaze and treated for smoke inhalation.

Garda technical experts carried out a forensic examination at the house today and detectives say the fire was a tragic accident.
