Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal hit-and-run in Galway last night.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal hit-and-run in Galway last night.

A man in his 60s was struck by a car while crossing the road in Ardrahan village at around 7.30pm yesterday evening.

The car fled the scene and the injured man was taken to hospital, where he passed away this afternoon.

Gardaí are looking to speak to the occupants of a black coloured car that was seen in the area at the time.
