Gardaí have seized cannabis plants and arrested two men in Co. Clare.

Gardaí searched a house in Miltown, Tulla, at around 10pm last night and seized around €100,000 worth of cannabis plants along with other items used to grow and cultivate them.

Two men, both aged in their early 20s, were arrested at scene and are being detained at Shannon Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
