Gardaí in Dublin are investigating a cash-in-transit robbery in Castleknock.

Gardaí in Dublin are investigating a cash-in-transit robbery in Castleknock.

Two men believed to be armed with a firearm entered Castleknock Shopping Centre at around 11.40pm.

The men were wearing black balaclavas when they entered the centre and left soon after with a cashbox. They fled the scene in an unidentified vehicle.

The sum of money stolen in the robbery is not yet known.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses who may have been in the vicinity of the shopping centre at the time and have seen anything to contact them at Blanchardstown station on 01-6667000.
