Gardaí plea for information into Dublin crèche shooting
Gardaí investigating a shooting outside a Dublin crèche yesterday morning are appealing for information.
A 31-year-old man was shot in the face by a masked gunman after dropping his son off at 9.10am.
Gardaí have revealed that the victim is a well-known criminal who has previously been linked with the Real IRA.
It is understood he had been warned his life was in danger and he had also been previously shot in the leg.
The man remains in a critical condition in Beaumont Hospital.
