Gardaí have named the woman who was killed in a crash in Limerick this morning.

Gardaí have named the woman who was killed in a crash in Limerick this morning.

49-year-old Carmel O'Brien from Sheerin's Cross, Kilmallock died after her bike was struck by a car shortly before seven am.

The collision occurred around 2 kilometres from Bruff on the main road to Kilmallock.

She's the 9th person to be killed on Limerick's roads this year.
