Gardaí in Dublin are investigating the false imprisonment of a man and a robbery last night.

Gardaí in Dublin are investigating the false imprisonment of a man and a robbery last night.

The man - who works as a store manager - was stopped by a number of men, one of whom had a gun, as he drove near his home in Lucan last night.

He was taken to his workplace, where a sum of cash was taken.

He was later released without injury and his Nissan Qashqai was found burnt out in Fonthill retail park.

Gardaí in Lucan have launched an investigation.
