Gardaí are investigating a shooting in Dublin in the early hours of this morning.

Gardaí are investigating a shooting in Dublin in the early hours of this morning.

At about 12.15am a 30-year-old man was discovered at Fairgreen in Saggart with a gunshot wound to the leg.

He was taken by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

A man in his 30s has been arrested and he is being held at Lucan Garda Station.

The scene of the shooting remains sealed off this morning pending a full technical examination.

Gardaí at Ronanstown are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
