Gardaí are investigating the sudden death of a young woman in Dublin, following a night out over the weekend.
The 18-year-old Ana Hick was with friends in the early hours of Saturday morning when she collapsed outside the Twisted Pepper nightclub on Middle Abbey Street.
It is understood she may have taken PMMA, which is a cheaper alternative to ecstasy.
The teen collapsed at about 3am on Saturday and was brought to the Mater Hospital where she died yesterday evening.
The Twisted Pepper has issued a statement offering its condolences to the Ana's family and says it is co-operating with the authorities in their inquiries.
The Twisted Pepper statement said: "Everyone at the Twisted Pepper is deeply saddened and devastated at the news of the sad passing of Ana Hick.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with Ana’s family and friends at this tragic time.
"We are working closely with the authorities and out of respect for Ana and her family we cannot comment further at this time."
