Gardaí in Dublin have identified the man found injured and unconscious in Santry early yesterday morning.

The 45-year-old man - who appeared to have burn injuries as well as other injuries - was brought to Beaumont Hospital yesterday after he was discovered on Lorcan Avenue at around 5.20am.

Detectives had yesterday appealed for help in identifying him.

They are now appealing to anyone who was in the area between 5am and 5.40am to come forward.
