Gardaí hunt for driver who collided with Garda and bus in Dublin

A garda has been injured after being hit by a car travelling the wrong way in Dublin city centre this morning.

The car, believed to be stolen, also collided with a bus on College Street, next to Trinity College during the peak rush hour.

A BMW sped up a bus lane on College street the wrong way at around 8:25am, and a garda on traffic duty was hit by the car. His injuries are described as not serious.

The car then collided with a Dublin bus before the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene on foot.

Gardaí have launched an investigation and are searching for the driver.
