Gardaí say they are gravely concerned for the welfare of a 29-year-old man who was assaulted and kidnapped in Dublin last week.

Father-of-one Ciarán Noonan was bundled into a black Volkswagen Golf on Russell Avenue in East Wall on Thursday afternoon.

A woman, aged in her mid 20s, was arrested in connection with the incident this afternoon on suspicion of withholding information.

The car, which was located at the Killegland apartments complex in Ashbourne in Co Meath on Saturday evening, is being examined.
