Gardaí investigating the murder of Kenneth O'Brien have discovered more of his remains.
An area near the canal in Sallins, Co Kildare, has been sealed off and Gardaí say items of evidence were discovered there yesterday evening.
These items will be forensically examined today.
Investigations are continuing into the death of the Dubliner whose body was found in a suitcase in the Grand Canal in Co Kildare over a week ago.
His partial remains were found near Ardclough on Saturday, January 16.
Over the weekend, Gardaí searched parts of the canal near Leixlip and Maynooth as part of the murder inquiry, along with a number of farmhouses near Ardclough.
Detectives are following one particular line of inquiry.
Mr O'Brien has links with the farm that he had worked in, at one of the outhouses as a car mechanic, and he had told his family that he was going there on the Friday he went missing.
