Gardaí have said a family member of the Dublin shooting victim was at the scene when he was killed this morning.

Gardaí have said a family member of the Dublin shooting victim was at the scene when he was killed this morning.

They said they are liaising with the family of the Lithuanian man who was shot dead in Dublin at 9.30am this morning.

The attack took place outside a cash-for-clothes business in the Greenogue Industrial Estate in Rathcoole.

The victim, in his early 40s, was known to Gardaí and is believed to have previous convictions.

Investigating officers are trying to trace a silver Audi A3 hatchback with a 05 TN registration, which they believe may be linked to the murder.
