Gardaí confirm bodies of missing Dublin men found

Gardaí have confirmed that two bodies found on the Co Meath side of Lough Sheelin yesterday are those of missing Dublin men Eoin O'Connor and Anthony Keegan.

Their remains were found concealed by undergrowth on an island on the lake yesterday afternoon.

They had been missing since April 22 when it is believed they drove to Cavan to meet a crime figure involved in drug dealing.

A murder investigation has now been launched, however gardaí have said they are not releasing the results of a post mortem on the men's remains for operational reasons.

They are appealing for information from anyone who may have seen a Grey Dublin-registered Ford Focus, in the vicinity of Lough Sheelin near Mount Nugent between April 20 and 25.
