Gardaí arrest man thought to be driving fake taxi

A man is due to appear in court later this month after being found driving a fake taxi.

Gardaí pulled over the car on Bride street in Dublin 8 last night and found the driver and a female passenger.

The car had a fake roof sign and taxi stickers and the man had been disqualified from driving.

The young women had got into the car believing it to be a legitimate taxi.

Gardaí are warning people to be vigilant of bogus operators.
